Microsoft is one of the first companies to invest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and promote it aggressively in all its products. Therefore, it’s not surprising that Copilot, the Microsoft AI assistant, is baked into almost every software created by this company, including Microsoft Edge. If you don’t like Copilot or are simply not interested in using it, you may want to remove it from Microsoft Edge. Fortunately, it takes just a few clicks to get rid of it, and I’ll show you how: NOTE: For those who prefer a video, we have created the YouTube clip below. All the new Microsoft Edge versions include a Copilot icon in the top-right corner. It’s placed where the button for showing or hiding the sidebar used to be.

This is where you can write a message to Copilot and ask it to do things like summarize the web page you’re on, find more information on the topic of the current web page, or perform other tasks that have no connection with the webpage you’re visiting.

How to remove Copilot from Microsoft Edge

Open Microsoft Edge, and click or tap the Settings and more button in the top-right corner. It looks like an ellipsis. Alternatively, you can press ALT + F on your keyboard. In the menu displayed, go to Settings.
